Homeless in 2 Weeks

"Even though we've changed... we know that when the tears fall or smile spreads across our face, we'll come back to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not (all) still friends.
-Unknown

Karen and I met when I was 15. We were both volunteer candy stripers at Whittier Community Hospital.  Then we were waitresses at Sambo's. A job that was so much fun I almost forgot I was working there to earn money for college. 41 years later we are still good enough friends that she reached out today.

Her husband left. She has 2 weeks to find good homes for her pets.

Shadow stole her heart at a shelter when he was 8 month's old. The Australian Shepherd possibly mixed with Golden heritage snuggler is a great companion at home- inside, outside and on drives. Now 2 years old- he is up to date with his shots and nuetered.

Karen also has a 2 year old indoor- only female kitty which she bottle fed since she was 1 week old. A good girl, careful with her nails. The kitty is both independent and loving.

Her 11- year old Anatolian Shepherd (very sweet girl) needs a foster for a few months till Karen is back on her feet.

If you can help- please contact Karen at claysonk@hotmail.com or phone 951-264-0841 ASAP.

  1. Lydia,

I have posted her letter and photos on Facebook's Pets We Love Page. The creator of the page, Kim, has already called Karen and chatted with her. Kim can't adopt any more pets but she will be working to help Karen, I am sure. We all are.
Hugs and best wishes to Karen and her fur babies.
