As Time Goes By, Perspective Changes

For the young, time passes with all the speed of a wheelbarrow pushed by snails.

As we get older, we notice the slower we move, the faster time passes- until it arcs by with the speed of a shooting star.

Reno "fit in" from the very start
In re planning our garden, the coming changes respect design and architectural precepts. However, alterations are lifestyle driven and will rely heavily on reduce, reuse and recycle for implementation.

The garden must be as safe for our small dogs as a yard on the wild land interface can be.  As our munchkins do not require the running space of now-grown sons and our former life with hunting dogs, the lawn will shrink. We will keep enough grass for lawn games. Newly barren space will be filled largely by reorienting existing objects and plantings.

Alterations will enhance our enjoyment of the company we keep.  Which today included

The Scrub Jays and as assortment of their feathered friends

  1. Lydia,

teehee I was hearing Mannie from Modern Family at the Oscars in the background while watching the birdies. Cute.

I love the pic of Reno as a baby sitting there. Was that below your kitchen worktable? Soooo sweet.

"As Time Goes By" happens to be the name of one of my favorite TV shows. It airs on KOCE Channel 8 on Friday nights. Judy Dench stars.

    Have a good day!
    Hugs, Trisha

  2. Oh Lydia, Reno is still a baby; a most loveable baby to me!

Loved the birdies. So tranquil and I needed both those videos today.

    Hugs,
    Judy
